Genesis 37:5

 And Joseph dreamed a dream,

HE BELIEVED THE DREAMS

WERE A MESSAGE UNTO HIM FROM GOD..

JOSEPH KEPT THE DREAMS IN HIS HEART THROUGH

THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATION OF HIS WALK UNTO

THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROPHETIC DREAM...

UNTIL THE  TIME OF ...THE PHYSICAL TANGIBLE

FULFILLMENT ..OF THE MANIFESTATION OF THE PROPHETIC

DREAMS  ..BECAME HIS LIFE WALK REALITY...  

 

BUT INTERESTING AND WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS IS..

....GOD IS ALWAYS WORKING TOWARDS

THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS PROMISES UNTO YOU...

 EVEN THOUGH YOU SEE IT NOT..

THE FACT IS SOMETHING IS ALWAYS HAPPENING..

GOD WAS GOING TO MOVE IN JOSEPH ..IN A VERY BIG WAY..

THE FIRST STEP IS TO GET JOSEPH INTO EGYPT...

HOW WILL GOD GET HIM THERE?

 

GOD USES THE INCREASING JEALOUSLY OF THE BROTHERS...

AS A MEANS TO HAVE HIM PUT IN A PIT..

SO THE PIT IS ACTUALLY SERVING AS MORE LIKE A BUS STOP..

YOU AND I CAN THINK LIKE THAT FOR A MINUTE..

 

GEN 37:24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit:

and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

 

JOSEPH DOES NOT KNOW HIS BUS IS ON THE WAY.. OR HIS TRAIN..

PLANE OR AUTOMOBILE ...

JOSEPH DOES NOT KNOW HIS MEANS OF LIFE SAVING TRANSPORT

...ARE ON THE WAY.. ..LIFE SAVING IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE..

 

GEN 37:28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen;

and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit,

and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver:

and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

 

JOSEPH WAS BROUGHT INTO EGYPT AS A SLAVE..

AT THE PERFECT TIME... GOD HAD READY AN OFFICER OF PHARAOH

A MAN NAMED POTIFER.... IN NEED OF A SLAVE...

HERE GODS PERFECT UNION BEGAN ...INSIDE EGYPT..

 

THUS FAR... JOSEPH WAITED IN A PIT

LIKE A  BUS STOP

HIS LIFE SAVING TRANSIT ARRIVED

HE IS DELIVERED UNTO A LAND WHERE GREAT THINGS

WERE GOING TO HAPPEN... OUT OF THE BAD

GOD WAS GOING TO DO GREAT THINGS IN THE LAND OF EGYPT

AND HE IS LINING UP HIS PEOPLE ... IN VARIOUS PLACES..

RUNNING AHEAD WE GET A PEEK AT COUNTLESS LIVES THAT WILL BE

SPARE  VIA THE SEVEN YEARS PROVISION OF FOOD.

AMEN PRAISE GOD*  

 

WE CAN SEE GOD HAS BROUGHT JOSEPH FURTHER..

TOWARDS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE MANIFESTATION OF THE DREAM..

YET IN THESE EARLY WORKINGS TOWARDS THE DREAMS FULFILLMENT.

JOSEPH COULD NOT SEE CLEARLY

AS YOU AND I CAN SEE... FROM A HISTORICAL POINT OF VIEW.

 

WE CAN KNOW JOSEPH HAD NOT FORGOTTEN HIS DREAMS...

Genesis 42: 9 And Joseph remembered the dreams

which he dreamed of them, and said unto them;

 

LIKEWISE YOU AND I OUGHT TO REMEMBER OURS..

 

 

JOSEPH MAY HAVE HAD MANY THOUGHTS THAT

THIS MUST BE SO FAR OUTSIDE OF WHAT GOD HAD INTENDED FOR HIM

IT MUST BE SO WRONG... HOW COULD GOD ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN..

ITS  WRONG..ITS  PAINFUL..ITS  HORRIBLE.. ITS AWFUL..

JOSEPH...MUST OF CRIED OUT TO GOD; ITS NOT LIKE THE DREAM, 

THIS IS A NIGHTMARE AND WHEN WILL IT END?

 

 

GOD WAS BLESSING JOSEPH IN HIS TRIBULATION..

....EVERYTHING JOSEPH PUT HIS HAND TO WAS BLESSED BY GOD..

AND HE WAS NOTICED..BLESSED AGAIN JOSEPH WAS ELEVATED

TO OVERSEER OF MUCH OF POTIFERS HOUSE..

 

Genesis 39:2 And the Lord was with Joseph,

and he was a prosperous man;

and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him,

and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him:

and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house,

and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake;

and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand;

and he knew not ought he had,

save the bread which he did eat.

And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.

AND SURELY AGAIN JOSEPH WILL CRY OUT TO GOD WHY..

AND ALMIGHTY GOD HELP ME...

 

JOSEPH COULD NOT IMAGINE ANY GOOD COMING FROM HIS BEING HELD

CAPTIVE IN A DUNGEON AND THIS LYING SLANDER OF POTIFERS WIFE

ADDED TO HIS NAME.. JOSEPHS LIFE IS MOVED AND PUSHED AND PULLED THROUGH INJUSTICE AND FAVOR.... INTERESTING PERHAPS ARE YOU WALKING A PATH LIKE THAT?

 

 

21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy,

and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand

all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there,

he was the doer of it.

23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand;

because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper. 

 

 

... GRIEF AND SORROW ..MAY HAVE AT TIMES OVERTAKEN JOSEPH..

THESE TERRIBLE EVENTS SO FAR AWAY FROM THE DREAMS

GOD HAD GIVEN HIM.

YET GOD WAS WITH HIM.. IN PRISON ..  JOSEPH WAS

EXALTED AS AN OVERSEER AS GOD DID PROSPER

HIS WORK THERE IN.

 

IMPORTANTLY THROUGH IT ALL WE MUST CONSIDER THE

YOUNG MAN OF GOD... IN GOOD TIMES AND IN

HIS DARKEST HOURS IS PRAYING ...

JOSEPH IS VERY MUCH IN TOUCH WITH GOD...

HE HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LIVING GOD.

JOSEPH IS GROWING UP IN THE LORD... DURING THIS TIME...AMEN

 

IN HIS HUMILITY

JOSEPH IS GROWING IN CONFIDENCE

IN GODS ABILITY ..TO BLESS HIS WORK..

AND IN HIS OWN ABILITY... THROUGH GODS BLESSING.. 

 

Joseph Interprets the Prisoners' Dreams

Genesis 40:

2 And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers,

against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

3 And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard,

into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound. 

 

 

EVEN AS THEY ARE IN A LOWLY PLACE 

..AS JOSEPH IS..

THE KINGS CUP BEARER AND THE BAKER ARE STILL COUNTED AS

MEN OF MORE HONORABLE POSITION THAN A SLAVE SUCH AS JOSEPH

..ALL IMPRISONED; GOD BRINGS JOSEPH FORTH TO THESE MEN...    

-JOSEPH  ACCURATELY INTERPRETS BY GOD;

THE KINGS CUPBEARER AND THE CHIEF BAKERS 

DREAMS..

 

THAT HE MIGHT BE SET FREE;

-JOSEPH MAKES A PLEA UNTO THE KINGS CUP BEARER...

URGING HIM MAKE HIS UNJUST IMPRISONMENT KNOWN

UNTO THE KING...

 

14 But think on me when it shall be well with thee,

and shew kindness,

I pray thee, unto me,

and make mention of me unto Pharaoh,

and bring me out of this house:

15 For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews:

and here also haveI done nothing

that they should put me into the dungeon.

 

23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

 

 

JOSEPH  MAY HAVE SEEMED TO BE FORGOTTEN

AS HE REMAINED IN THAT DUNGEON FOR TWO MORE YEARS..

BEFORE PHARAOHS HAD HIS DREAMS..

 

ALL ALONG ...GOD WAS GROWING JOSEPH UP IN HIM..

AND PREPARING HIM WITH RIGHT SPIRIT AND A HUMBLE HEART

FOR THE HIGH CALLING AND GREAT POSITION OF HIGH RANKING

AUTHORITY THAT HE WOULD BE STEPPING INTO..

 

IT WORLD TAKE A RIGHT HEART IN GOD

FOR SUCH A POSITION

.. AND GOD WAS MAKING READY

JOSEPHS HUMBLE HEART FOR THE ESTEEMED

HONORARY POSITION. ..   OF SECOND TO PHARAOH... 

 

.. BUT WE MUST RECALL..

GODS TIMING IS PERFECT..

 

CONSIDER IF.....

IF JOSEPH WAS TAKEN TO PHARAOH UPON ARRIVING IN EGYPT...

AND ASKED TO INTERPRET THE KINGS DREAM... AND BY GOD

HAD DONE SO;

CAN WE IMAGINE JOSEPH WOULD HAVE HAD

A RIGHT SPIRIT FOR THE TASK OF BECOMING SECOND TO PHARAOH?

 

IF YOU AND I HAD IT OUR WAY... WE WOULD SKIP 

THE HARD STUFF AND GRAVITATE TO WHAT APPEARS TO BE EASY..

TO WHAT APPEARS TO BE  GOOD...

 

Isaiah 55:9

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

 

 THE SPIRIT WITHIN A MAN MUST BE TRIED IN THE FIERY FURNACE

UNTIL GOD DETERMINES;

Isaiah 48:10

Behold, ave refined thee,

but not with silver;

I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

 

ITS VERY POSSIBLE THAT IF JOSEPH  

IN THE WRONG SPIRIT AND IN A VENGEFUL HEART..

WOULD HAVE HAD HIS BROTHERS IMPRISONED

FOR THE REMAINDER OF THEIR LIVES OR EVEN SENTENCED TO DEATH

FOR WHAT THEY HAD DONE TO HIM..

ITS VERY POSSIBLE THAT IF JOSEPH WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SPEAK OVER HIS BROTHERS WITH SUCH LOVE AND COMPASSION.. AS HE DID IN..

GENESIS 45:

5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves,

that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth,

and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 So now it was not you that sent me hither,

but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh,

and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

 

 

GOD KNOWS JOSEPH WAS GOING TO NEED TIME

TO GET A RIGHT HEART AND A RIGHT SPIRIT A RIGHT MIND ...

IN ORDER TO FULFILL GODS PLAN...

 

JUST LIKE YOU AND I NEED A RIGHT HEART..

WE NEED TIME TO GROW IN GRACE..

WE NEED A FORGIVING HEART,

WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO SEE THAT ITS GODS WILL

THAT PUT US WHERE WE ARE... 

THAT HE MIGHT BETTER GROW US UP IN HIM...

AND HE USED THOSE PEOPLE AND EVENTS...

TO MOVE US INTO WHAT IS OUR REALITY.

 

HERE WE CAN UNDERSTAND OUR FREEWILL

AND GODS WILL BE DONE.. GOD IS WORKING WITH JOSEPHS FREEWILL

...JOSEPH IS IN A TYPE OF SCHOOL ... HE IS LEARNING..

HIS HEART IS CHANGING ..HIS MIND IS CHANGING... THIS PROCESS

HE IS PREPARING IN PERFECT EVENTFUL TIME..IN ADVANCE..

AND HE IS GIVING US TIME IN ..A SCHOOL UNKNOWN TO THE WORLD

TO LEARN, GROW AND CHANGE..TO SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY CHANGE..

OUR FREEWILL AND GODS WILL ARE IN THIS GREAT PLACE OF GODS PURPOSE...

AND WE HAVE MUCH TO SURRENDER... UNTO GOD. AMEN

THE SMALLER PICTURE WE ARE GAZING AT OR IMAGINING...

THE CUP BEARER TO THE KING, CAN SUBMIT ; A SLAVE CALLED

JOSEPH ..THAT CAN INTERPRET DREAMS BY THE POWER OF HIS GOD.

 

SO THERE IS A NICE LITTLE ROCK SOLID, BLESSED ASSURANCE

BACK GROUND CHECK ON JOSEPH..WHILE THE STORY OF POTIFERS WIFE

OBVIOUSLY MUST LACK SOME VALIDITY...FOR  IF POTIFER HIMSELF; BEING

AN OFFICER OF THE KING ..DID NOT HAVE THIS  SLAVE KILLED

FOR SUPPOSEDLY HAVING  VIOLATING HIS WIFE..

GOD WAS DOING MUCH IN THE LIFE OF JOSEPH

...IN THE PHYSICAL AND  SPIRITUAL..

IN HIS MIND HEART BODY AND SOUL..

JOSEPH WAS CHANGING, GROWING IN MANY WAYS..AMEN

THIS TIME OF PROSPERING IN HIS WORK...

GOD DID PROPER JOSEPH FOR MUCH GOOD REASON..

 

GOD WAS BUILDING A YOUNG JOSEPHS CONFIDENCE

THAT HE IS ABLE AND CAN DO ALL THINGS

THERE WAS A VERY HEAVY TASK GONG TO BE PLACED UPON HIS SHOULDERS..

AND COUNTLESS LIVES WOULD DEPEND UPON WHAT JOSEPH DID..

JOSEPH WAS GOING TO NEED BE BUILT UP IN THE FAITH IN THE CONFIDENCE

THAT GOD IS ABLE .. AMEN

 

READY OR NOT FOR THE TASK..?

RECALL MOSES FELT HE WAS UNABLE TO SPEAK TO THE PHARAOH..

GOD DID AID MOSES GIVING HIM A HELPER; AARON.

 

Exodus 4:14 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses,

and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother?

I know that he can speak well. And also, behold,

he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee,

THAT GOD HAS ASPIRED HIM TO .... SO LONG AGO....

THE CUP BEARER GREATLY CONCERNED OVER HIS OWN PERSONAL WELFARE

WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED  TO SAY ANYTHING OFF COLOR TO

UPSET THE KING ....THUS POTENTIALLY RISK BEING SENT BACK TO PRISON

OR EVEN DEATH BY HANGING AS WAS THE FATE OF THE KINGS CHIEF BAKER...

 

SO WE CAN KNOW ...

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY DIFFICULT FOR THE CUP BEARER TO SPEAK

ON BEHALF OF JOSEPH AS HE JOSEPH HAD PLEADED FOR THE CUP BEARER

TO MAKE MENTION OF HIS CASE  BEFORE THE KING..

WE CAN IMAGINE THE CUPBEARER COULD NOT

IN HIS MIND REASONABLY DO WHAT JOSEPH HAD

REQUESTED OF HIM..

 

BUT TWO LONG YEARS HAVE PASSED ...IT’S A NEW DAY

AND CUP BEARER SUDDENLY HAS

A GOOD REASON TO MAKE MENTION OF JOSEPH...

AFTER ALL THIS NEWS MAY HELP THE KING..

SO ITS LESS RISK TO THE CUPBEARER.

FOR JOSEPH JUST MAY PROVE

TO BE HELP, WHERE OTHERS IN THE KINGS SERVICE

HAVE FAILED..

37 And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh,

Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this,

there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according

unto thy word shall all my people be ruled:

only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See,

I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand,

and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him

in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had;

and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler

and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

GOD CAN GIVE US SUCH A JOY..

..THAT WE WILL NO LONGER RECALL OUR AFFLICTIONS

OUR SORROWS.. AND THE GRIEF WE DID BEAR... FURTHER MORE

GOD CAN ABUNDANTLY BLESS US IN THE VERY LAND OF OUR AFFLICTION...

 

WE MAY BE ABLE TO LOOK TO OUR PAST AND SEE THIS TRUTH IN OUR LIVES..

WE MAY BE IN A LAND OF AFFLICTION RIGHT NOW .....NO MATTER OUR LOT

.... OUR HOPE IS IN THE LORD..AMEN

THAT ONE DAY THE BATTLE WILL END AND CHRIST WILL BRING US FORTH AS GOLD.

BECAUSE IN JESUS* WE ARE VICTORS ALREADY.. AMEN

YOU MAY HAVE GREAT SORROW, GRIEF, AND AFFLICTION THROUGH DARK TURBULENT TIMES.. BUT GOD WILL BLESS YOU THROUGH ... IF YOU DON’T RUN FROM ... BUT DRAW NEARER TO GOD THROUGH ... ITS TO YOUR GREATER ADVANTAGE..

 

GOD WILL BRING YOU FORTH...

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS ALONG THE WAY..

KEEP ON KEEPING ON EVERY DAY..

AND ONE DAY YOU...LIKE JOSEPH WILL BE ABLE TO SAY;

IF GOD MADE YOU A PROMISE...

in a way you would never have dreamed any good could come from..

in a way that seems to be filled with pain, heartache, and much brokenness
