Holding Through the Storm

WALK ON WATER or sink; its our choice.

Mat 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.


[Trusting Jesus trusting in the word of God when you need it
most; Thats walking on the water.
Peter walked on the water as long as He kept his focus on Jesus
when he focused instead on the storm raging round about himself
he began to sink.]

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid;
and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Trusting when ALL IS WELL, is NO PROBLEM for us?

When its all good, when its the season of the cream of the crop
and life is full of joy peace and happiness it certainly is
easy to trust God and His word and declare all His goodness and mercies.
Thats sweatless effort to do that isn't it.
Yes im certain we can all agree it is easier to sing
His praises in and through the good times in and
through the best of times when all is well.

Satan accused Job of singing Gods praises
because Job was blessed with every good thing.
Thankfully he had accused the wrong guy.
As we know Job no matter what; did not curse God.

WHATS YOUR STORM?

Are you standing at the Red Sea Crossing?
Are you alone there with your giant gaining on you;
coming towards you from the back to
attack and you seemimgly have no where to escape
for the trap is; mountainous STRONGHOLDS at your sides, a body of water
before you spells out your inability to move beyond where you
are?
Have you been in this same battle for what seems like years to-
too long with no end in sight?


THIS IS A TEST.
THIS IS A TEST.

Saved; Are you worth your salt?
Saved we are followers of Christ;
we need to be more Christlike as we grow in Him.

Matthew 5:13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have
lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?
it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast
out, and to be trodden under foot of men.


Luke 14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour,
wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill;
but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear,
let him hear.

God cant use a coward
in the storm or in the battle.
Not to seem insensitive but if you and I are going to
trust in ALMIGHTY God then lets do it in faith believing
He's got this battle, its His.

No matter what the situation; financial, physical or mental health,
addictions, loss of a loved one, you name it... whatsoever it is.
We must learn to give it to God in prayer and pray through the
situation no matter how long it takes to get to the finish line.

OUR VICTORY IS WON!
OUR BATTLE IS IN THE LORDS HANDS!
WHEN WE GIVE IT TO HIM!

Exodus 14; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen,
and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them;
there remained not so much as one of them. 29 But the children
of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the
waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their
left. 30 Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand
of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.



* HOW TO GIVE YOUR BATTLE TO THE LORD?
When we have done all we can physically do and can find no other
means to resolve it clearly it is not our battle.
First realize this is something you cant handle, its out of your control.



PEACE BE STILL

Mark 4:39
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace,
be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.


Put your focus on Jesus and leave it there. Dont look at the storm.
The Word does not lie.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for God to LIE [Heb6:18]
Clearly we need to believe and trust in His word;
that we be not ashamed before Him when we see Him.

FEAR NOT

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed;
for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help
thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

SEE THAT GOD WANTS TO UPHOLD YOU STRONG RIGHT ARM
DONT LOOK TO THE FLESHY ARMS TO SAVE YOU:
CALL ON THE LORD JESUS!


2 Chron 32:8
With him is an arm of flesh;
but with us is the Lord our God to help us,
and to fight our battles.


Personally im currently in a battle;
without giving out all the intimate details.
Just know that its indeed financial.
In the old testament of the Bible;
concerning my circumstances of today I may have
soon been in the position to sell myself into
slavery in order to stay alive.

On this side of the cross I'm trusting in Jesus.
He through salvation; is my master and I am His servant.

Luke 17 describes The Servant's Duty

7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle,
will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field,
Go and sit down to meat? 8 And will not rather say unto him,
Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me,
till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and
drink? 9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that
were commanded him? I trow not. 10 So likewise ye, when ye shall
have done all those
things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants:
we have done that which was our duty to do.


We WAIT ON THE LORD; His time NOT our time,
HES GOD; NOT I.
Recall HE WANTS all the Glory for the things He has done.
Would He have been glorified if He parted the waters of the Red Sea
and there was no enemy in hot pursuit of the Hebrews?
Yes but; not as dramatic, NO COMPOUNDED ADRENALIN RUSH, NO GREAT ESCAPE,
No SWEATLESS EFFORT VICTORY WON OVER THE ENEMY.

- First we need a negative situation
in order to turn it into a positive one.
Now you and I can look forward to our next big negative situation
and run into it saying; this is Gods will be done earth as it
is in heaven ... and to God be the Glory
for the battle is His and His alone.

GLORY TO GOD
His timing is perfect.... Amen

HEY if your not knocked down you dont need picked up.
If your not broken you dont need repaired.
If your not sick you dont need to get well.
Some of Gods finest accomplishments are birthed
out of adversity and hardships, out of the impossible
situations to the miraculous happenstance.

THE QUESTION IS NOT; CAN YOU COUNT ON GOD.

THE QUESTION IS; CAN GOD COUNT ON YOU?


God needs a David to kill a Giant.

ARE THERE ANY DAVIDS HERE?

Who will trust the Lord and run into the battle
through faith believing my God has this all I
need to do is make an effort my God will make the right connection.

All battles are different; whatever your [giants] circumstances are;
trust in the Lord.

Wait on Him.
If He bids you HOLD, peace be still; then be still.
If he needs you to step up the plate and face your giant;
then prepare to take the hits and expect God to knockem dead. Amen


In our heart of hearts we should say our battles are
exciting opportunities for God in His awesome power to reveal Himself.

Is your hearts pounding in your ears over your situation...its a STRESS TEST!
God is measuring your worth; GOT SALT?

What is God doing! He declares its His Glory and yet its all about you.
Seriously He is God! He does not need us to bring Him Glory.
God has Glory in the Title alone...G_O_D.
So clearly the real question is:
What are we made of?
What will we do?
What is our level or degree of trust in Jesus?

* I myself am in one of the most incredible storms
of my life. One that comes equipped with a time limit ..and we all know
those time limits to fix it or else blank is going to happen
AND I DONT WANT BLANK TO HAPPEN.

Yes time limits always intensify the situation.
Its like that Egyptian Army Gaining on me.
I'm most definitely at the bank of the Red Sea.


James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth
is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

DID YOU SEE THAT... DONT THINK YOU WILL GET ANYTHING FROM THE LORD IF YOU WAVER.


In closing my advice is I know the Lord Jesus has a master plan
to get me off this shore and to the other side.
I also know its going to take no less than a miracle to get me there.
Saved I'm a light house for Jesus but what good is a light house if its tossed
into the sea into the turbulent waves... lost ships would not know which direction to go
should would they come upon that tossed light house
it would have nothing to offer. Instead it could then be blamed for MISLEADING.


My light house is well planted on a rocky mountain top; a beacon of light for all to see.
TRUST IN JESUS HE WILL NOT FAIL YOU... HE HAS AN INCREDIBLE PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE and for mine.
We who are in Him need to be encouraged; you and I want the Lord Jesus to be pleased with us.
That He will say to us... Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful
over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
[Mat25:21]


HOW CAN WE DO THAT?
One of the greatest ways to please to the Lord is to trust in His Word.
To not only read and know His word but to act upon it.
It needs to govern our behavior, our thoughts, our minds and our hearts.
Our will should be; I must decrease that He be increased.

Did you know if you make your life all about Him ...
He will flip that on you ... and you will be increased in Him.
David the Shepard boy dwelt on the Lord God [as he tended to his flocks in the fields]; hence
Davids story in the Lord is still one we like to share with one another today... Amen.


Seriously we need to take a stand and firmly believe in God. Satan was liar from the beginning.
He told Eve surely you will not die; two bites later two individuals were expelled from the
sweatless effort of the Garden of Eden. Death comes in many forms and that was only a part of
the death they came do know. SATAN IS RUBBING HIS HANDS FEVERISHLY LOOKING FORWARD TO YOU FAILING...
HE IS COUNTING ON IT.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.


Who are we going to believe?
Who are we going to trust?

TO NOT TRUST IN JESUS IS ANTICHRIST.

John 10:26 But ye believe not,
because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

One more thing... realize that often times men have a better idea for you,
a better plan of action than the one God has mapped out for you.
Dont be swayed by the words of the worldly; they are not speaking for God.

Recall Noah built an Ark can we imagine how many onlookers voiced their suggestive opinions,
their advice, their worldly wisdom with Noah and his family?
WHO ARE WE GOING TO LISTEN TO; God or men on earth?


John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.
These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.


Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
