WHY AM I REAPING WHAT I DID NOT SOW?

WHAT DOES YOUR TRIAL HAVE TO DO WITH ME?

Galatians 4:14 Even though my illness was a trial to you;,
My illness is a trial to you?...

 my affliction, my circumstances
Your illness,  your affliction,  your circumstances,
We are tried by one another ..its how we respond [to our brother] that merits judgment.

We imagine we simply reap what we [sow] plant....  plant a grapevine- get a grapevine.. but what if we didn’t plant a grapevine and get a grapevine ... now im thinking?...but what if our brother planted a grapevine and it didn’t flourish... its how we respond to him in his loss ...that we are tested [in many ways].

Say your under terrible attack... your suffering afflictions of proportions that are unbearable, untolerable to you... you feel as though you could snap under the pressure of it....  you wonder why ...you  evaluate your past and say to  yourself;
’’ I never did this to anyone... so WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?

We are being tried through the fire of life. If your everything is going haywire... hunker down in prayer, in faith believing... pray daily with out ceasing.

You will make a difference, don’t think for a moment that the enemy has given up his attacks. No...  instead he is trying to find a new angle ... that’s what he does... We are always being tested .... and through another persons trial so we are tested. That is worth repeating....and through another persons trial so we are tested.

WHY AM I REAPING WHAT I DID NOT SOW?

This trial or test is most likely NOT about you reaping what you have sown in the past..[RECALL JOB].. but instead this is a wave of testing in great pressure coming against you now.... to see how you will respond in and through the storm....  AND 'SOWING  your  ATTITUDE, DECISIONS, ACTIONS, WORDS YOU RENDERED THROUGH  AND IN THE STORM‘; SO THEN OUT OF THE STORM YOU ARE JUDGED.... OUT OF  THE STORM ..  YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU DID SOW THROUGH THE STORM...... there are many fields that we are tried and tested in.

SOWING THROUGH THE STORM AND WE WILL REAP OUR JUST REWARD BECAUSE OF WHAT WE DID SOW... For many it’s a new way of looking at we reap what we sow.... particularly since many merely count reaping as cash income on the sown tithe dollar. Its more than that...reaping our sown seeds will generate the difference between our eternity in Heaven and Hell.

My scenario;  say God needs at least two people  to test...
Person A
and
Person B
We find person A minding and seeking to pursue a sound relationship in Jesus.  When suddenly person B approaches person A to attack ...hence slowly over a long drawn out period of time to torment...ouch....sob sob.... A has become a victim to B....how does the victim respond ... does A retaliate or does A let vengeance be unto God?

- so we see the set up is testing ground for A.
- wait... B is being tested as well.... not just A.

Can we be used of God? ... God wants to test another person for their worth and so he will put them up against you....like a battering ram. God measured Sauls worth in good portion as Saul was against David. Hence David was tried through the same trial because Saul was looking to try to kill David..  HOW WAS DAVID GOING TO RESPOND?....  David had the opportune moment to kill Saul and he did not.

Do we see a field of measuring a mans worth... both are being judged for the seeds they sow through the storm. No one will end up in hell with out knowing why they are there. ...UNSAVED IS THE TOP OF THE LIST REASON;  THEN ALL THE SINS WE INCURRED VIA LIFE WILL BURY US ALIVE IN THE PIT OF HELL FOR ETERNITY.  Today is a good day to get saved.. Amen.

HOW IS B... BEING TESTED IN THIS A/B  SCENARIO?.....person B playing the devil seven days a week... not sleeping at night in order to carry out dastardly deeds under the cover of darkness and in morning light twisting truth to make  lies for spreading ...to the spoil  A’s reputation.  At the end of a week of playing with fire  B goes to church and sings praises to Jesus. Then comes home to resume where he left off attacking poor A.

What is happening; we can know B has the ability and the freedom to get away with what he is doing by God in Heaven or it would not be happening... seeing things from a spiritual view... B is given full reign to be who he is and also time to reconsider his stance in the spiritual realm .. does he truly desire to continue  on in this manner or does he desire sincere change of heart through Jesus saving grace...?  God is most testing B to see what is in his heart. Regardless if B is aware of that or not. That’s true for all of us. choices choices choices

[2 Corinthians 5:10]  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

One day we must all be judged... and what are the charges? Today's a Good Day to be Saved isn't it.

Its good to realize God will use one person to try another person... and while one is being tried .... Its safe to say both are being tried....in scenario A / B we can imagine one is being purged and purified through the fire and sadly one appears to be digging a hole to the center of the earth. Only time will tell.  The Good News flash here is there is hope to repent and Get Saved for any of us as long we are alive and have a sincere heart unto repentance in Jesus*

Back to we reap what we sow.... do you see the weight and depth of that term in a different light.... because of this analogy of Person A and B?
Its not just about money...We may be short sighted to only see ‘plant a flower get a flower’....’plant a lemon get a lemon’.....  Its more than that... its you are a pot or a vessel that God will use  for His purpose ....  He will smash a pot against you and see what happens ... he will see if more than one pot breaks and shatter to pieces... are you cracking up... He will try you for your salt... and see if you float in the water or sink down to the bottom. He will test you through the fire .... In this life you better expect to reap all kinds of things..... stuff you didn’t sow... because God might be using you for the door or wall and another as the battering ram.  !!!!!CAN YOU SAY OUCH!!!!!

God will give us negative things we did not sow.
God will give us good  things we did not sow.
we can and will reap what we did not sow.

We shall reap more in great bounty than what we did sow.... we have many variables.  To better conceive this look at the bountiful reward and the eternal time of  heaven and of hell... to see how much more we shall reap than what we did sow into.

We all like things we did not labor for:  Joshua 24:13
And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat.

Psalm 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Revelation 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Recall Job...

Isaiah 64: 8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Jeremiah 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Isaiah 45:9  Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
Our rebelliousness and denial will not win any favor with God ...  but we will reap what we sow.

Proverbs 11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. [as we see Christians around the world today... who can believe this scripture to be true... as they are persecuted for their faith in Jesus and even put to death.

Our reward is not on earth don’t store up treasures here... surely we can see the earth is full of holes and pitfalls that can swallow us up with our possessions... we need to store up treasures in heaven... Amen

When Jesus* was tempted by the devil...[Matthew 4:1 ] He was being tried ... He sowed righteousness in the face of adversity and in the face of temptation... Jesus* paved the way for us ... showing us spiritual reaping and sowing...

He was accused of casting out spirits in the name of Beelzebub....  ouch ...that was a lie that had to hurt to the core... still Jesus* kept on the path of teaching and striving to enlighten through truth...so ought we when we are falsely accused.

Mark 14: 62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses? 64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. 65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

Jesus* whom was innocent,  [ 4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; [Isaiah 53:4-5] CLEARLY HERE IN  Isaiah 53:4-5

WE KNOW JESUS* REAPED VIOLENCE ..  BUT HE DID NOT SOW VIOLENCE YOU AND I KNOW HE WAS INNOCENT OF THE CRIMES HE WAS ACCUSED OF .... the hit for hit ...reap what we sow concept does not seem to match here does it.

SURELY NOW WE MUST BROADEN OUR MINDS TO CONCEIVE WHAT THE DEPTHS OF REAP WHAT WE SOW MEANS.

The Son of God ... tried by the devil...  tried by His own creation. Through it all Jesus* was sowing seeds.... He did prevail and did succeed to accomplish the task He came to do.  Hallelujah! Praise Jesus*

Since the cross Jesus* is the ultimate sacrificial Lamb; price paid in full for our redemption its ours for the asking.  [John 1:29...Matthew 13:44-46]
-Jesus* has reaped, is  reaping and will reap ... what He did sow. [Matthew 13:18  ]
-Upon His death; [reaping] Jesus* took captivity captive and set the captives free [Psalm 68:18]
-Jesus* is is coming soon for [reaping]  His [saved] Bride; [1 Thessalonians 4:16]
-[reaping] friends of the Bridegroom will be among the guests of the wedding... [Luke 5:34]
...[reaping] through the Tribulation many will turn to Jesus* and be saved [Revelation 7:14]
...[reaping] all of Israel shall be saved [Romans 11:26 ]
... [reaping] Jesus* will set up His kingdom on earth after the Tribulation. [Luke 11:2,Revelation 21]

We must endure unjustifiable circumstances that will come to us to try us.  [Galatians 6:9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

This is where confusion comes to play.... people will say but if this is happening to you... then you deserve this ... RECALL POOR JOB ... DINT HIS FRIENDS SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT TOT HIM WHILE HE WAS SUFFERING  if this is happening to you then you did this same thing to another person or you earned this or you must be sneaking around leading a double life ... to have earned this to happen to you.... because God is paying you back for crimes you committed in the darkness.
Job was an upright man that God Himself was very pleased with... and then he was attacked.

Tried by fire ....  Can you see how Job reaped in the end .... that of which he did  sow through the trial

The devil wanted Job to denounce  God but Job would not do it...  in the end of all the terrible things satan did to Job ... recompense came and Job.
Because of his faithfulness through the fire, through the storm... he was greatly rewarded..
We can never ever out give the Lord., hallelujah*

Jobs story is an example of this life for you and I on earth .... we are TRIED AND TESTED...WE ARE not to hold onto the things of this world so tightly that they are of more value to us than God is ... We need a God first attitude ... He is jealous over us... don’t put anything before Him ... can we surrender all and put God first... or what is in your heart in front of God.... think of Jobs losses and think of your life and what you would do if you lost all....   we need  prepare for in our lives...

We need  learn to let go of everything that we previously learned to grasp a hold of in order to survive in this world...  We cant take any of it with us... A tooth pick can not save us nor will a house... only God can save us... If He wants He will turn the tooth pick into a house {I dint say whos living in it} and the house into toothpicks. We are going to reap much more than we sowed when we get to heaven... we will know that for certain... are you smiling yet ... because I am... thank you and praise you Jesus*

We reap what we sow Jesus does weigh and measuring our gifts...
one giver against another...as in the Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44... 21And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

Luke 18:12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

Don’t forget to tithe your ten percent to the church [Nehemiah 10:38]   ...Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Gods word does not lie.. God does provide [Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes]  it may not always be in a large cash return but it may be in a bill or a debt that you were exonerated from or a good deal on something or something given to you... He works in those ways. Your good health or something of value is yours  or consider value because something did not break down; is a blessing  because you tithe...  You and I reap what we sow is not just about money or stuff.  but also and more so he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We cant buy soul salvation... its already been paid for by Jesus*

Galatians 6: 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

In the end we  if we  are in the fold of the  Good Shepherd we will  one fine day walk into the Kingdom of  God.... and like Job we will reap much for our being tried through the fire. Our fullness of blessings are not in this world but are waiting for us in heaven. Jesus said do not store up your treasures here... Matthew 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [John 14:2 ]

You see these mansions of men on earth are violated, pillaged and plundered and the ground opens up and swallows them up... but in heaven there are no thieves aloud so you don’t have to worry about locking your doors no one will break in  to steal your possessions... and your things will not rot away like they do on earth... when you have something you cherish ... you will no longer have to be concerned with the concept of how long will it last or how will I ever be able to replace this.... isn't that a grand concept to hold onto.... I love that ...its so refreshing ... I can tell you im not going to miss chasing after decay with all my chemical compound cures to hold, stabilize and maintain this or that for another month or another year...  I am delighted for the Blessings of the Good Lord and I'm delighted to move onward and upward praise Jesus* I have my hope in Him. I hope you can say the same.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption
- sow into habitual drinking alcohol .... reap alcoholism
- sow into disobedience.... reap destruction
; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
- sow into praying with expectancy.... reap an answer
- sow into waiting to hear from God.... reap hearing from God
Recall the depths of you reap what you sow.... are greater than we imagine or see at a glance....  Job was favored by God and not reaping what he sowed but was attacked... yet it was through his trial... he was sowing...

SOWING THROUGH THE TRIAL... IS WHAT YOU WILL ONE DAY REAP....    Its through the trial that our character should resemble that of Jesus our Savor and not the devil.... we should bring honor and glory to God through the trials of life....   see how apostle Paul did suffer through trials in Jesus name sake...  HE ALL ALONG WAS

-SOWING THROUGH THE TRIALS
20  For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.21  I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak.
¶ Howbeit, whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
22  Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.23  Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool,) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, Acts 16.23 in deaths oft.24  Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Deut. 25.3 25  Thrice was I beaten with rods, Acts 16.22 once was I stoned, Acts 14.19 thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;26  in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, Acts 9.23 in perils by the heathen, Acts 14.5 in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;27  in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.28  Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.29  Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?30  ¶ If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.31  The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

Concluding sowing through the storm or the trial... Sowing in general is a daily thing we do regardless if we see it or not it’s a law and unseen law and its being recorded [God knows}
We come out of the gate with sowing to the flesh its all about us...[unsaved]  that’s all we know.
Through salvation we grow to learn that it’s the spiritual sowing that will continually alter and transform  life.
There are many fields of testing we shall be taken through. Not a moment goes by that is not worth merit ... either our hands or voice our hearts or minds  are taking us somewhere where ... and where the mind leads the body follows. Little feet watch where you go.

Zechariah 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God with him.
Daniel 12:10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand

Haggai 1:6  Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

Mark 4:31 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

Mark 4:32  But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

God is the potter we are the clay He will mold us and make us and have His own way.

SOWING AND REAPING ... WHERE IS THE BEGINNING AND WHERE IS THE END OF THIS TOPIC?  It is so vast and covers so many areas we  could spend eternity talking about it and still never reach and end...
If your not certain about reaping an sowing  listen to sermons, read up on it... we could hear sermons  on this topic or read about reaping and sowing for the next year and never run dry ...  its more than money...  usually money pops up first and money is necessary we all know that .... however our very souls are worth more than any money of this world... Jesus* .. the pearl of great price paid dearly for us that we might through Him obtain soul salvation into eternal life with Him...
Thank You Jesus*
Praise the Father Son and Holy Spirit
* Get Saved its the greatest decision you'll never regret.

  1. Thank you for this post. I've been going through a very difficult trial. I haven't been able to find a job and now I'm at risk of losing my home.

A friend told me you reap what you sow. It hurt to hear this and I told him I forgave him for saying it. I have not been able to find a job and my home is getting closer to being lost. Sometimes I think maybe I am being judged and this must be what I deserve or I would have found a way out, no matter what I do or how many people are praying for me I'm in for a horrible fall. I've tried to examined myself to see what I've done that I might deserve to lose my home and be destitute.

I keep holding on to hope and faith even though my attitude hasn't always been the best during all of this. I can see the work God is doing in me to trust Him and believe that He really does love me.

I want you to know what a blessing this is for me and how it has helped me. I'll be more mindful of my attitude during this trial. It helps to know that you don't always reap what you sow. God Bless
